    Questions

    What does CPM mean?

    CPM stands for cost per mille, the price you pay for one thousand ad impressions.

    What is the CPM formula?

    CPM = (ad cost ÷ impressions) × 1000. Rearranged, cost = CPM × impressions ÷ 1000, and impressions = cost ÷ CPM × 1000.

    Why is CPM per 1000 impressions?

    The cost of a single impression is a tiny fraction of a cent, so media is priced per thousand to give a readable number that is easy to compare across buys.
